Don't forget clearly identifying links. Either through underline, bold, and/or a different color. It seems that is not something you're doing on this site :) Because I knew 960 grid system is the name of a website, I had a hunch the text might be a link (and I was right). But the average visitor might not. And they might miss links that aren't as obvious. We can't expect visitors to hunt through blocks of text to find what may or may not be links.

Good read! I have yet to come up with a legit design for my blog I'm developing, this helps though. Some good points to consider that will impact a website a ton.

One thing to mention is the conventions of how to use Serif fonts, for body texts because the little hooks in the type face help move the reader's eyes to the left, and San-Serif fonts for titles to make them stand out. This is a print convention that seriously needs to be adopted by web designers.

I would give a piece of advice based on my personal taste (and disability): please don’t use small font sizes! I could understand using a 12pt font on a printed document makes sense, but using small font sizes on screen is quite different—my screen is 70cm away from me and I am tired to always having to zoom in to read text in “well-designed websites”!

Usability first, gentlemen.
